PROCEDURE

  • Cleanse and prepare the skin using a brow shampoo (our video shows us using mina henna brow cleanser)
  • Create the perfect brow shape using a brow calliper and a white brow mapping pen or pencil. Draw a central line between the brows first before going onto marking the start of the brow, the arch (highest point of the brow) and the end of the brow. Once both brows are done please check the symmetry by sitting the client up.
  • Mix the henna paste – 1 scoop of henna and 1 full spray of water. (i recommend purchasing an empty spray bottle from amazon as this is far easier to decant than using droplets from a bottle without a spray)

  • Apply the henna within your mapping boundaries
  • Allow the henna to develop for approximately 15-25 minutes (remove the front section of the brow after 5 minutes using a dry cotton bud like in the below video)
  • Remove the entire henna brow with damp cotton pads
  • Shape the brows using wax (re map before if required). I love using lip stick applicators for waxing. You get such a precise edge!!
  • Using a disposable mascara brush, brush the brows in an upwards motion and trim any unwanted hairs that sit outside the brow map design. Be mindful not to over trim. LESS IS MORE
  • Tweeze any unwanted hairs the wax hasn’t removed to gain that neat edge and apply an after wax lotion to remove any residue wax.
  • Make over the brows at client request (OPTIONAL)
